The Board of Trustees of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies today held its annual meeting at the Academy’s headquarters at Bait Al Falaj Camp, under the chairmanship of His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sayyid Dr Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, President of Sultan Qaboos University; His Excellency Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Her Excellency Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation; His Excellency Dr Saeed bin Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy; Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces; Major General Sulaiman bin Khalid Al Zakwani, Secretary General of the Office of the Chief of the Supreme Commander; Major General Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, President of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies; and Air Commodore Ali bin Rashid Al Abri, Director General of Studies and Academic Affairs at the Academy, who served as rapporteur of the meeting.
His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Chairman of the Board welcomed the members, expressing his hope that the meeting would achieve its intended objectives in support of the Academy’s mission and goals. The Board reviewed a number of items listed on the meeting’s agenda.
